Wiise teams up with expensemanager (now ProSpend)

Readers, please note that the press release below is from 24 March 2021. In February 2023, expensemanager rebranded as ProSpend.

Sydney, Australia, 24 March 2021

Created by KPMG and built on Microsoft, Wiise announced a new partnership with expensemanager, one of Australia’s leading cloud expense and invoice management software providers.

expensemanager and Wiise have joined forces to help streamline accounts payable processes, supplier payments, invoices and expenses to support small to medium-sized businesses in Australia.

“Our goal has always been to help automate low-value tasks such as data entry so that our customers can spend more time focused on bettering their products or services and investing in areas of growth. By partnering with expensemanager, this is one way we’re doing just that.” said Jonathan Attia, CEO of Wiise.

The challenges businesses face

If you’re a business that see staff working on the go, whether it’s travelling to visit clients or attending meetings, you know that expenses can be hard to manage. Employees will usually manage their expenses manually, meaning countless hours are spent inputting costs directly into their finance system.

For many other businesses, if their finance system isn’t talking to their expense management platform, the admin burden is still evident. It is not only the staff member spending hours inputting data into their system - most of the Accounts Payable team are spending hours daily re-keying information from one system to another. This does not only severely increase errors, costs and time spent - it also hinders staff to focus their time on core functions that encourage business growth.

Solving these common challenges

The two teams have been working hand-in-hand to build an integration between expensemanager and Wiise ERP. Integrating an ERP software with an expense management tool means Accounts Payable teams avoid double handling of data, staff can capture their expenses on the go, and all spending can be mapped back into the finance system automatically.

“We see the partnership and the integration with Wiise highly beneficial for our joint clients,” said Sharon Nouh, CEO & Founder of expensemanager. “Like us, Wiise is an Australian company dedicated to helping local businesses achieve success through innovative cloud technology. expensemanager and Wiise work collaboratively to bring the best of ERP and cloud spend management, delivering an integrated and intelligent platform to help businesses streamline and digitise their accounting processes.” said Sharon.

expensemanager fills the growing small to mid-market need to automate not just the expense reimbursement process, but also the purchase order and supplier invoice receipt, approval and payment process. The online platform takes in all credit card data, automatically creating expense reports whilst users have access to leading OCR technology through their mobile app to easily snapshot receipts on the go, seamlessly creating cash claims and approve claims. Customers can request expensemanager to build custom integration into Wiise ERP so that all of these items map back into the general ledger - raising purchase invoices and providing a link back from their journal entries into expensemanager.

“By seamlessly integrating expenses and financial processes, we’re bringing our customers joint visibility and insights across their spend all while saving them time on financial admin. We’re thrilled to be working with another Australian cloud tech provider, who share our values and our commitment to helping Australian SMBs thrive” said Jonathan Attia.

About Wiise cloud ERP

Like all good things, Wiise started with a great idea: to give small and medium-sized businesses the tools and big business smarts available to large corporates, at an affordable price. We saw that the small and medium market was underserved from a tech and banking standpoint. We wanted to level the playing field with a system that Aussie businesses could trust when they were ready to grow beyond managing the books.

So KPMG Australia joined forces with Microsoft and CommBank, bringing together industry experience, top-tier tech and banking know-how to launch Wise in August 2018. Wiise is a class-leading cloud ERP software designed to help growing businesses across Australia thrive by automating processes, driving with data and working together effectively.
