Wiise Product Update: January 2026

Written by Wiise | Jan 21, 2026 11:43:26 PM

We’re excited to release the latest updates for our January Product Release, available for Wiise Australia and New Zealand environments on the evening of 22 January 2026!

Customer profitability Dashboard

To help you better understand which customers truly drive profitability, we’ve introduced a new Customer Profitability Dashboard to the Sales Dashboards pack.

Rather than relying on manual exports or fragmented reports, you can now:

  • View revenue, costs, and margin at the customer level in one place

  • Identify top and bottom performing customers by gross margin

  • Filter results by date range or salesperson to focus on specific segments

  • Drill into customer performance to support pricing, contract, and service decisions

Customer profitability was previously difficult to analyse, often requiring manual exports to Excel or standalone BI tools. Making it hard to see true margins once all costs were considered.

The new Customer Profitability Dashboard solves this by delivering an always-up-to-date, embedded Power BI view directly within Business Central.

Item Profitability Dashboard

To help you understand which products are driving profit and which are eroding margin, we’ve added a new Item Profitability Dashboard to the Sales Dashboards pack.

Rather than exporting data into Excel or stitching reports together manually, you can now:

  • View gross margin $ and margin % by item Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) in one place

  • Analyse key cost drivers including COGS, discounts, freight, and returns

  • Identify top and bottom performing items at a glance

  • Filter by date range and profitability brackets to focus on specific product groups

  • Drill down into item performance to support smarter pricing, promotions, and inventory decisions

This makes it easier to protect margins, optimise inventory investment, and confidently prioritise which products to grow, improve, or phase out.

Warehouse Item Journal Approval Workflow

To help you reduce inventory risk and strengthen internal controls, we’ve introduced a new Warehouse Item Journal Batch Approval Workflow for Wiise. This is similar to last month's update on Item Journal Batch Approval Workflows, but for warehouse items.

Rather than posting warehouse item journals without oversight, you can now:

  • Send journal batches for approval before posting

  • Automatically block posting until an authorised approver reviews the batch

  • Configure approval rules based on conditions like value thresholds or location

  • Use flexible approver options including direct, chain, group, or specific approvers

  • Maintain a clear audit trail of who submitted, approved, or rejected each batch

This makes it easier to prevent errors and unauthorised stock adjustments, enforce segregation of duties, and improve audit readiness with clear accountability and governance.
